The former first lady ‘continues moving ahead’ despite the possibility her husband could go to jail as he faces his first criminal trial for alleged hush money payments to Stormy Daniels

Melania Trump is reportedly unfazed by the prospect of her husband, former President Donald Trump, facing jail time amid his mounting legal challenges.

As the politician stands trial in one of four criminal cases brought against him, including the high-profile hush money trial involving adult film actress Stormy Daniels, Melania is said to be distancing herself from the controversy. The case, which alleges that Trump paid Daniels $130,000 to silence her claims of a sexual encounter before the 2016 election, could lead to imprisonment for the ex-president if he’s convicted.

However, this isn’t the only legal battle that could land Trump behind bars. The presumed nominee to be the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential candidate is up against almost 100 felony criminal charges, with more than 30 charges of wilful and/or reckless retention of classified information, which experts say often result in prison sentences of several years.

Sources claim that when Trump was indicted over the hush money scandal, Melania remained “angry” about the affair and indifferent to the possibility of Trump’s incarceration. According to People, she has her plans to carry on with life, enjoying her time at her favorite places, regardless of her husband’s fate.

“Melania loves the beautiful weather and resort town atmosphere of Palm Beach, she is happy when she is in Palm Beach. She has her son and other close family members. They are tribe-like and usually stick together. Despite what happens to Donald, she will be fine. She is well taken care of,” the source said.

Even as her husband faced a second indictment with the potential for a heftier prison sentence, Melania Trump reportedly remained unfazed. Insiders claim that the 54-year-old former Slovenian-American model “doesn’t want anything to do with any of it,” and she wishes “these legal issues would go away”.

The source also said that Melania has “lived with other public humiliation for many years, including the sex scandals.”

“Melania…prefers to go about her business,” someone in the know shared with the publication, emphasizing that the ex-first lady isn’t swayed by the commotion. “She continues moving ahead,” the insider asserts.

It seems there’s a wealth of evidence against the mogul, even in the eyes of his spouse. “Although her husband feels the legal issues are witch hunts, she prefers to stay away from making many comments as some of the recent evidence, especially in the Mar-a-Lago documents case, is quite damaging,” the source revealed.

Insiders suggest that the former first lady, based on the evidence at hand, thinks Trump “has a rough road ahead”. Melania allegedly hopes that the controversy will at least come to an end soon. It is unclear whether “the end” will see her hubby finding himself locked up, and how she truly feels about this possibility is seemingly unclear.

Page Six reported that a source said: “Melania knows what she signed up for. She is in a wait-and-see position. He’ll either be in prison or be president. Or both.” Yet, should the Supreme Court decide Trump indeed has immunity, it could lead to other criminal cases against him being thrown out.
