Former President Donald Trump recently expressed his belief that one of the reasons President Joe Biden has been eager to send military aid to Ukraine is due to the money the Biden family allegedly received from the country.
Trump shared his views in an interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo last week.
According to an FBI form FD 1023, which was viewed by members of the House Oversight Committee, a whistleblower made allegations in 2020 that Joe and Hunter Biden each received $5 million from the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma while Joe Biden was vice president.
Hunter also reportedly received substantial monthly payments for his service on the Burisma board of directors, and text messages from his laptop allegedly indicated he would share some of his earnings with his father.
When asked if he would halt the financial aid to Ukraine, Trump responded that he would focus on resolving the ongoing conflict in the region.
He also highlighted the disparity in financial contributions from European countries compared to the United States, suggesting that Europe should contribute more to the situation in Ukraine.
Trump further criticized Biden’s defense policies, expressing concern that the country’s vulnerability to attack has increased under the current administration.
He cited the significance of modern weaponry, particularly nuclear power, and questioned Biden’s understanding of national security matters.
Trump lamented that the U.S. has reportedly depleted its ammunition supply and criticized Biden for revealing this information to potential adversaries.
He emphasized that during his presidency, ammunition supplies were at their fullest, and he criticized the decision to give away the ammunition instead of maintaining a robust stockpile.
Trump argued that disclosing such a lack of ammunition to hostile countries, such as China, was a foolish move.
In conclusion, Trump accused President Biden of having questionable motivations for providing military aid to Ukraine and raised concerns about the state of the country’s ammunition reserves and defense policies.
