As reported by Mediaite, Bernard Kerik, a longtime associate of former President Donald Trump and a former New York Police Commissioner, is reportedly requesting immunity before complying with a subpoena issued by the Fulton County District Attorney’s office.

This subpoena compels him to provide testimony in the first trial concerning election fraud allegations involving Trump and 18 other defendants.

Kerik, who has a history of legal troubles, including convictions for ethics violations and tax fraud, received a pardon from former President Trump.

However, he has now been implicated as a possible co-conspirator in the election subversion case in Georgia. While not directly charged, he is identified as “co-conspirator No. 5” in the case.

Kerik’s attorney, Tim Parlatore, is insisting on immunity for his client in exchange for his testimony. This development arises as the Fulton County District Attorney’s office seeks critical trial testimony from Kerik, which could provide insight into various efforts made by Trump and his associates to challenge the 2020 election results in Georgia.

The upcoming trial pertains to two of the 19 defendants, pro-Trump lawyer Kenneth Chesebro and former Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell, and is scheduled to commence on October 23.

Recently, one of the other 18 defendants, Scott Hall, entered a guilty plea related to the case, alleging interference with the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia.

THE FULTON COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE HAS ISSUED A SUBPOENA TO FORMER NEW YORK POLICE COMMISSIONER BERNIE KERIK TO TESTIFY IN THE FIRST TRIAL LATER THIS MONTH IN THE CASE STEMMING FROM ELECTION SUBVERSION PLOTS IN GEORGIA, ACCORDING TO HIS LAWYER.

BUT KERIK’S LAWYER, TIM PARLATORE, IS DEMANDING THAT HIS CLIENT BE GRANTED IMMUNITY IN EXCHANGE FOR TESTIFYING, POINTING OUT THAT PROSECUTORS INDICATED IN THE INDICTMENT THAT KERIK WAS A “CO-CONSPIRATOR” IN THE CASE. WHILE NOT NAMED IN THE INDICTMENT, CNN PREVIOUSLY REPORTED THAT KERIK IS CO-CONSPIRATOR NO. 5.

WITH THE KERIK SUBPOENA, THE FULTON COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE IS TRYING TO SECURE POTENTIALLY CRUCIAL TRIAL TESTIMONY FROM A WITNESS WHO CAN SHED LIGHT ON VARIOUS EFFORTS BY FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP AND HIS ALLIES TO UPEND THE 2020 ELECTION RESULTS IN GEORGIA. TWO OF THE 19 DEFENDANTS – PRO-TRUMP LAWYER KENNETH CHESEBRO AND FORMER TRUMP CAMPAIGN LAWYER SIDNEY POWELL – ARE SET TO GO ON TRIAL ON OCTOBER 23.
