“This Sham Prosecution, This Insanity, This Abomination Has to Stop”: Donald Trump’s Family Speaks Out

As Donald Trump’s legal team wrapped up their defense for the day, Donald Trump’s family – sans three very important people – gathered to speak in front of the courthouse.

Missing in action is Donald’s wife Melania Trump, who has been notably absent from any of the proceedings, along with their youngest son Barron Trump. Ivanka, who has also made clear that she’s taking a step back from the campaign, also snubbed Donald’s court date.

Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Jr, was first up to speak and spent most of his time alleging that Michael Cohen lied on the stand, picking up where Trump lawyer Todd Blanche left off. “He’s lied before his wife, he’s lied to bankers, he’s lied to all of you in the press, and he’s actually lied to that very jury,” said Donald Jr, who suggested that Cohen perjured himself on the stand, told The Mirror US.

“And yet he’s the only person of relevance that this entire case hinges on. This sham prosecution, this insanity, this abomination has to stop now, after watching this trial, are you convinced the jury is going to be able to make the right choice here today,” finished Don Jr. before handing the mic over to his siblings.

Eric Trump and his wife Lara Trump went next. “The entire DA’s office is lying in that courtroom,” he claims. “They’re sitting there, they’re laughing, they’re giggling. This was their moment, this is how they embarrass Donald Trump. This is a legal warfare,” said Eric Trump

Lara Trump, the former president’s daughter-in-law and a key figure in the Republican National Committee, added to her husband’s concerns, stating: “This was never a case about protecting the citizens of the city of New York, this is a case about politics, pure and simple.”

Borrowing the blame-game rhetoric from her father-in-law, Donald, she went off on crime in New York City rather than address the case. “You have crime sky-high, people being pushed in front of subways, women getting punched in the face in broad daylight, in this city, anti-semitism spewing out of our universities right here in New York City,” Lara Trump stated.

In a scathing remark about the District Attorney’s office, she adds: “They’re [the DA] not caring about any of those crimes, they’re not pursuing any of those crimes, they care about this, which we know is not a crime.”

The family has now gone back inside the courthouse to await the prosecution’s closing argument. It’ll likely go on until the end of the day.

Earlier today, NYPD officers had to jump the fence and get in the middle of a small melee between Trump protestors in a park outside of the courthouse where the ex-President’s criminal trial is wrapping up.

Actor Robert De Niro and two Jan. 6 Capitol-defending officers, including Harry Dunn and Michael Fanone, came to bolster support near the courthouse where Donald Trump’s hush money trial is unfolding.

After a riveting speech where De Niro called Trump a ‘clown’ and suggested the millionaire politician uses a ‘mob’ to get things done, protestors screamed back and forth at each other, eventually leading to a fight, according to NBC reporters. The fistfight lasted minutes and was quickly broken up by NYPD officers.
