According to a report by The Hill on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, former President Donald Trump unleashed a new barrage of insults and accusations against his fellow Republicans on Tuesday, accusing them of betraying him and the party by working with his critics.

Trump singled out former Speaker Paul Ryan (Wis.) and Sen. Mitt Romney (Utah), the 2012 GOP presidential ticket, as well as former Attorney General Bill Barr and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) for their alleged roles in undermining his presidency and reelection bid.

Trump made the remarks on his social media platform, where he claimed that some of his potential challengers for the 2024 Republican nomination were “losing by 57 to 70 Points”.

Also, they were “getting together with RINO Paul RINO, Mitt ‘The Loser’ Romney, Bill ‘No Guts or Talent’ Barr, and some broken political ‘investors’ that will soon come to me, as most others already have.”

Trump did not specify who he was referring to, but Axios reported that four possible 2024 candidates — North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and former Vice President Mike Pence — were attending a summit in Utah hosted by Romney this week.

The summit, which also features speeches from Barr and Kemp, is seen as an effort to find a viable alternative to Trump within the GOP.

Trump slammed Romney and Ryan for losing to former President Barack Obama in 2012, saying that they “should have beaten an absolutely failed first-term Obama.”

He added that “if [Romney] and RINO Paul fought as hard against Obama as they do against President Donald J. Trump, they would never have lost.”

Trump also blamed Romney and Ryan for the loss of the Senate majority in 2020, saying that they “only help Crooked Joe Biden” by siding with the Democrats on issues such as impeachment, election integrity, and infrastructure.

Trump then turned his fire on Barr and Kemp, whom he accused of being complicit in the “rigged” 2020 election that he still refuses to concede.

Trump said that Barr “had no guts or talent” and that he “betrayed” him by not pursuing his baseless claims of voter fraud.

He also said that Kemp “allowed Georgia to be stolen” by not overturning the state’s results in favor of Trump.

Trump concluded his rant by saying that “Republicans ‘Eat Their Young,’ and that’s the problem with so many in our Party, they go after the people who are on their side, rather than the Radical Left Democrats that are DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY.”

He added that “these are LOSERS, and the Republican Nation must stop following their failed ideas and policies.”

Trump’s latest attack comes as he continues to dominate the polls among Republican voters and donors, despite being banned from major social media platforms and facing multiple legal challenges.

Trump has not officially announced his candidacy for 2024, but he has hinted at running again and has endorsed several loyalists for various offices.

Trump’s critics, however, hope to prevent him from securing the nomination by presenting a more moderate and pragmatic vision for the party.

They argue that Trump is divisive, erratic, and damaging to the GOP’s chances of winning back the White House and Congress.
