Trump attorney Alina Habba dropped accusations against Hunter Biden on Fox News, claiming that the President’s son is attempting to evade justice while hypocritically accusing others of being “above the law.”

The confrontation came amidst ongoing legal battles involving Hunter Biden’s tax charges, with his legal team striving to have the case dismissed, as reported by Mediaite on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

During Thursday night’s edition of Fox News Channel’s Hannity, with Jeanine Pirro as guest host, Alina Habba seized the opportunity to lambast Hunter Biden for his attempts to have the tax charges against him dismissed.

In response to Pirro’s question about Biden’s claims of unfair prosecution, Habba wasted no time in casting aside Biden’s assertions, labeling them as a “witch hunt” and declaring him far from a victim of unjust treatment.

Instead, she redirected the focus onto former President Donald Trump, painting him as the true target of unfair scrutiny.

JEANINE PIRRO: What do you think of Hunter Biden claiming that his indictment should be dismissed when they literally, with the statute of limitations, got rid of the most incriminating years for taxes? And he says this is this is just a special prosecution that is unfair and unjust.

ALINA HABBA: Yes, we know what that’s called. That’s called a witch hunt. And I’m sorry, Hunter, you are not the victim of a witch hunt. President Trump is.

And we’ve seen that. You didn’t file tax returns for three years. You tried to get a sweetheart deal passed under the judge’s nose, and we got caught. We know what’s going on here, but don’t you dare use our lines on us, because the only people that are treated differently are the Democrats.

They are protected. They are clearly not treated the same. And I want to see their line be used against them. No one is above the law. Show me that! You don’t pay your taxes. You don’t charge, you, three years you didn’t file tax returns! No one is above the law, Hunter!

Habba’s incendiary remarks highlighted what she perceived as a double standard in the treatment of political figures, with Democrats allegedly receiving preferential treatment over their Republican counterparts.

She pointedly reminded Biden of his failure to file tax returns for three consecutive years and criticized his attempts to secure a favorable deal under the nose of the judge, which ultimately backfired

In her impassioned plea for equality before the law, Habba invoked the principle that “no one is above the law,” a phrase often associated with calls for accountability and justice.
