‘It Will Cost Him Miserably’ Trump Informed On What May Lead To His Demise In November Elections

Former Representative Will Hurd (R-TX) did not mince words when discussing recent comments made by former President Donald Trump during an interview with CNN’s Jim Acosta on Monday.

Hurd suggested that Trump’s penchant for making outlandish remarks is precisely why he’s been avoiding debates, particularly with former Governor Nikki Haley (R-SC).

According to reports by Raw Story on Monday, February 26, 2024, Acosta shared a clip of Trump addressing a predominantly Black audience over the weekend, where he made eyebrow-raising comments about his criminal charges.

Trump’s assertion that Black voters identify with him because of his legal troubles, coupled with his reference to his own mug shot, left Acosta and many others baffled.

“He is saying bonkers stuff like this all the time,” Acosta remarked during the interview. “If somebody on a park bench said this to you, you’d get up and move. But he says this stuff and he’s way out in front in the Republican contest.”

Hurd echoed Acosta’s sentiments, bluntly labeling Trump’s comments as absolutely ridiculous. He acknowledged the potential impact of such remarks, especially when used in political advertisements against Trump.

“When Joe Biden cuts that into an ad and runs that in Georgia, in Michigan, and places around the country, these gaffes are going to continue,” Hurd predicted.

The former congressman did not shy away from highlighting Trump’s age as a factor in his propensity for controversial statements. “You know we talk a lot about Joe Biden’s age, but Donald Trump is getting up there too,” Hurd observed.

He suggested that as Trump is forced to engage more publicly, his tendency to make inflammatory remarks will only escalate.

Hurd also pointed to Trump’s reluctance to participate in debates, particularly with Ambassador Haley, as evidence of his awareness of the potential fallout from such unscripted interactions.

“He knows that these kinds of things are going to continue, and that is going to lead to his demise in November,” Hurd asserted.

Trump’s avoidance of debates has been a subject of speculation and criticism from both political opponents and some within his own party.

While Trump has cited various reasons for his reluctance to engage in debates, including concerns about biased moderators and the format of the debates, many observers believe that his aversion to being challenged on his statements and policies plays a significant role.

Haley, a prominent figure within the Republican Party, has positioned herself as a potential contender for the party’s presidential nomination in the future.

A debate between Haley and Trump would undoubtedly be closely watched and could have significant implications for the direction of the Republican Party.

As the 2024 presidential election looms on the horizon, Trump’s propensity for controversial remarks and his avoidance of debates may continue to be topics of discussion.

Whether these factors ultimately influence his political fortunes remains to be seen, but for now, they serve as fodder for debate and analysis within the political sphere.
