Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was involved in a car accident while on his way to an event in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as confirmed by his spokesman.
In a statement received by Nypost, DeSantis Press Secretary Bryan Griffin said, “This morning, the governor was in a car accident while traveling to an event in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He and his team are uninjured. We appreciate the prayers and well wishes of the nation for his continued protection while on the campaign trail.”
Despite various polls showing DeSantis in second place in the 2024 GOP primary, he remains favored by independents over Trump and is perceived to perform better than Trump against Biden in battleground states. However, the mainstream media has been pushing the narrative that his campaign is losing steam. DeSantis, on the other hand, remains confident, asserting that he is not concerned about the polls at this moment and is focused on the long game, believing he can win the election.
During an interview on Tomi Lahren’s podcast earlier in the month, DeSantis emphasized his ability to defeat Democrats both at the ballot box and on various issues. He pointed out successes in areas such as lockdowns, education, ESG, illegal immigration, and transgender athletes competing with women.
DeSantis emphasized his commitment to follow through on his promises, stating that he will not just talk the talk but walk the walk. He firmly believes that he can defeat Biden and, more importantly, deliver on his commitments to the people. He sees it as his responsibility to offer himself as a candidate based on his track record and the positive changes he believes he can bring about.
