It was claimed that after a mourning period, Melania Trump, who recently lost her mother, Amalija Knavs, had plans to step up her presence on the campaign trail alongside Donald Trump.
The idea was to have Melania Trump hit the ground running and help push the former president to the finish line. Melania Trump is expected to give speeches and meet voters to drive the MAGA-loving message home.
However, there is a possibility that Melania Trump might be rethinking that decision after Donald Trump delivered an inexplicable speech in front of Iowans recently.
At a political event in Newton, Iowa, the former reality star made some controversial remarks about school shootings, the Civil War, and the late Sen. John McCain, and his supporters, who have been convicted for their connection to the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
In his incoherent remarks, Trump stated the Civil War was “so horrible, but so fascinating.” The billionaire real estate mogul, who might have forgotten that the war was about slavery, went on to explain that it could have been negotiated.
Trump stated: “See, there was something I think could’ve been negotiated, to be honest with you. I think you could’ve negotiated that. All the people died; so many people died.”
Donald Trump claimed Abraham Lincoln should have used his negotiating skills to put an end to the battle that revolved around slavery.
He said: “If he negotiated it, you probably wouldn’t even know who Abraham Lincoln was. He would have been president, but he would have been president and would have been — he wouldn’t have been the Abraham Lincoln.”
Trump slurred his words while giving the most bizarre lecture on magnets, saying: “When the magnetic elevators — think of it — magnets. Now, all I know about magnets is this: Give me a glass of water; let me drop it on the magnets; that’s the end of the magnets.”
For some bizarre reason, Donald Trump opted to criticize the late senator from Arizona and presidential candidate John McCain.
Donald Trump mocked John McCain, a fellow Republican, a war hero who was captured, tortured during the Vietnam War, and suffered injuries that made it impossible for him to raise his arms.
Trump dropped the following insensitive remark: “You know, without John McCain, we would have had it done. But John McCain, for some reason, couldn’t get his arm up.”
Trump also took the opportunity to react to another horrific school shooting that took place recently in Perry, Iowa, at a high school. The Republican presidential hopeful told Iowans to get over the shooting.
He said: “It is so surprising it happened in Iowa but that people have to move forward.”
Trump did have a lot of sympathy for those involved in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He stated: “Some people call them prisoners. I call them hostages. Release the J6 hostages, Joe. Release them, Joe. You can do it real easy, Joe.”
Many political experts are wondering if Melania Trump wants to be associated with these kinds of stunning remarks when she seems to be on a path to rebuilding her reputation and being accepted by high society.
