by Jessica

A 38-year-old man, Dominic Collier, was apprehended by the police following a disturbing incident where a neighbor reported witnessing him dragging what seemed to be a lifeless body from a building into a rain culvert. The unsettling discovery unfolded on Tuesday, January 23, at Parliament Place Apartments in Nashville, prompting a swift response from the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Reports from WSMV-TV reveal that law enforcement was summoned to the scene after a maintenance worker and the apartments’ supervisor observed Collier maneuvering a body through the building and depositing it into a culvert. In the course of their investigation, the police obtained a photo and surveillance footage capturing the incident, enabling them to positively identify Collier as the suspect.

Upon reaching Collier’s nearby apartment, the police discovered clothing on a chair matching the attire seen in the video evidence. The victim’s body, wrapped in blankets and a shower curtain, bore additional gruesome details, including a covered head with a garbage bag and camouflage backpack, as reported by WSMV.

Collier now faces serious charges, including abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and failure to report a deceased person. Records from the jail indicate that his bond has been set at $75,000.

The Tennessean discloses that Collier exhibited a lack of cooperation with detectives, refusing to engage in conversation with them. As of now, the victim’s identity remains undisclosed, leaving the community and the public in suspense about the circumstances surrounding this chilling incident.
